CJS Coach Dewald wins PaybyFace Randburg PSA Tournament

He did it again!

SA No 1 and CJS coach Dewald van Niekerk won the PaybyFace Randburg PSA Tournament by beating Toufik Mekhalfi from France. All the players, parents, and coaches of CJS would like to congratulate Dewald on this awesome achievement!

The PaybyFace Randburg Open is one of the events on the PSA World Tour calender.  Players from all over the world arrived in South Africa to play in this prestigious event.

Coach Dewald was ranked in position nr3.  He started his campaign in the second round against Abdelrahman Abdelkhalek, where he won in straight games. He then got the better of another Egyptian, in Yusuf Elsherif, to make it through to the semi-finals.

In the last four, Coach Dewald got the better of top seed Edwin Clain, downing the Frenchman in straight games. That set up a meeting in the final with another Frenchman, in No.2 seed Toufik Mekhalfi. The pair were level through two games, but Coach Dewald came through to win in four to secure the title on home soil.
