CJS Players to play in the 2023 WSF Junior World Squash Championship
Two CJS players, Luhann Groenewald and Jordin Phillips, have been selected to be part of Team South Africa that will be competing in the 2023 WSF Junior World Squash Championship in Australia in July 2023.
We are so proud that two CJS players, Luhann Groenewald, a grade 11 pupil from Hoërskool Zwartkop, and Jordin Phillips, a home-schooled matric pupil, have been selected to be part of Team South Africa which will be playing in the 2023 WSF Junior World Squash Championship in Australia.
This year’s World Junior Championship, which will be played in Melbourne Sports Centres (MSAC) between 18-29 July, will feature 245 entries across the men’s individual championship, the women’s individual championship, and the women’s team championship.
Countries that are participating in the World Junior Championship include Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong China, India, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Lithuania, Macau China, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papa New Guinea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, USA, and Zimbabwe.
Luhann Groenewald will be playing in the Men’s Individual Championship, while Jordan Phillips will be playing in both the Women’s Individual Championship and the Women’s Team Championship.
