CJS Coach Dewald wins Growthpoint SA Nationals for the 3rd time
CJS Coach Dewald van Niekerk wins his third Growthpoint SA National Championship title at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, while Assistant CJS Coach Damian Groenewald finished in 4th place.

This past week CJS Coaches Dewald van Niekerk, Alexa Pienaar and Damian Groenewald, competed in the 2023 Growthpoint SA National Squash Championship in Cape Town.
Coach Dewald has won this title in 2021 and 2022. This year, his experience in playing and practicing overseas proved invaluable. Coach Dewald and Coach Damian also had a tough battle on Friday in the semi-finals, playing an amazing 5-set match, with Coach Dewald taking the win in the 5th and final game. Coach Dewald then played against Christo Potgieter from Joburg Squash in the finals, beating Christo 3-0 to take the title!
CJS Coach Damian Groenewald finished in 4th place in the Mens Section. He played against Ruan Oliver (Northerns) for 3rd / 4th place, but unfortunately lost against Ruan, finishing in 4th place.
CJS Coach Alexa Pienaar was seeded 2nd in the tournament, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to illness.
