2024 SA Schools Closed Tournament

Two CJS players took the glory in winning the u19 sections of the prestigious 2024 SA Schools Squash Closed Tournament!  Luhann Groenewald and Chanté Leppan, both learners from Hoërskool Zwartkop, clinched the titles of SA’s top-ranked Girls and Boys under 19!

In the other age groups, Dewan Borstlap from Hoërskool Waterkloof secured the spot as South Africa’s top-ranked Boys u14.  We’re thrilled to celebrate Judah Phillips (Home school) and Juan Corne Brand from Hoërskool Zwartkop for their outstanding performances, landing them the third and fourth positions in the Boys under 19 category.

The Road to SA Schools Squash Closed Tournament

There are criteria that junior players must fulfill to receive an invitation to participate in the SA Schools Squash Closed Tournament:

First, players must enter and participate in the Technifibre Bloem Junior Open Tournament that is held in March.  Then, players must also be ranked in the Top 4 of their respective province’s ladder.

However, the organizers may extend a wild card invitation to players who are lower-ranked on the ladder, provided that these players have participated in the Technifibre Bloem Junior Open Tournament.
