CJS Prestige Awards 2025: Celebrating a Season of Gratitude & Greatness
On Friday, 21 November, the CJS community came together at Hoërskool Zwartkop for one of the most meaningful events on our calendar — the annual CJS Prestige Awards Evening. Each year, this night marks the end of a full and competitive season, but more importantly, it gives us the chance to pause… reflect… and celebrate the incredible young athletes who make CJS what it is.
This year’s theme, “Gratitude is the best attitude,” set the perfect tone. From the moment families filled the hall, you could feel that mix of excitement, pride, and appreciation — for coaches, teams, parents, and especially the players who worked so hard throughout 2025.
🌟 A Night of Laughter, Pride & Community
Our MC, Brett Cousins, kept the evening flowing with his quick wit and easy humour, making everyone feel relaxed and welcome. His playful comments and warm energy made the ceremony feel less like a formal event and more like a celebration among friends.
We also enjoyed a short, heartfelt message from NJSA Chairperson Etienne Badenhorst, who reflected on the growth of junior squash in Northern Gauteng and the dedication of players, families, and coaches. His words were a reminder that success is built on community — something CJS embodies deeply.

Each young athlete who walked onto the stage carried a story of early mornings, tough matches, lessons learned, and moments where they pushed themselves further than before. Watching their smiles (and sometimes proud tears!) made it clear why this night matters so much.
This evening reminded us why we love what we do. Gratitude truly is the best attitude — and we are so grateful for every player, parent, coach, and supporter who forms part of the CJS family.
