2025 Growthpoint SA Squash Nationals u19/u17/u15

Six of our Centurion Junior Squash (CJS) players travelled down to Cape Town from 14–16 August 2025 to take part in the prestigious Growthpoint SA Nationals U19 & U17 Tournament, held at the buzzing Makers Landing. Getting to this stage was no small feat — each of these players first had to fight their way through regional tournaments before earning their spot at the finals in Cape Town.

And wow, did they make us proud!

In the U19 Junior Men’s section, Judah Phillips brought home the gold, lifting the trophy with determination and skill. His victory is a huge milestone not just for him, but for our entire CJS community.

Over in the Junior Women’s section, Chanté Leppan (Hoërskool Zwartkop) showed her grit and talent, securing an impressive 3rd place finish.

The U17 Junior Women’s division was packed with CJS talent. Elzandri Janse van Rensburg (Midstream College) came out on top, taking the win in brilliant style. Right behind her, Starla Phillips (Home School, and younger sister of Judah) fought her way to a 3rd place finish, while Amelia Lubbe (also from Midstream College) proudly claimed 8th place.

In the U17 Junior Men’s section, Logan Kidson (Hoërskool Zwartkop) played with determination, earning a solid 6th place finish against some of the country’s toughest competition.

In the U15 Junior Men’s section, which happened from 28 to 30 August, Tiaan Goosen (Hoërskool Zwartkop) finished in 8th place.

In the Senior Men’s section, CJS coaches and brothers Damian Groenewald and Luhann Groenewald finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively, showing that with hard work and determination, anything is possible!
