2024 Growthpoint SA Squash National Junior Championship

Tournament Results

The 2024 Growthpoint SA Junior Nationals Squash Championships were held from Thursday, 15 August 2024 and finished on Sunday, 18 August 2024.  The venue was the all-glass court at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Eight players from CJS went to Cape Town to compete against the best players from the other provinces.   In the u15 section, Starla Phillips (Home School) competed in the Girls section, and Logan Kidson from Hoërskool Zwartkop in the Boys section.  In the u17 section, Juan-Corné Brand from Hoërskool Zwartkop competed in the Boys section, while Elzandri Janse van Rensburg and Anushka Janse van Rensburg, both from Midstream College, competed in the Girls section. In the u19 section, Luhann Groenewald from Hoërskool Zwartkop and Judah Phillips (Home School) played in the Boys section, and Chanté Leppan from Hoërskool Zwartkop in the Girls section.  Dewan Borstlap from Hoërskool Waterkloof qualified but withdrew in time.

The champions are…

After four days of intense competition, Luhann Groenewald was crowned the country’s champion in the U19 Boys section.  Elzandri Janse van Rensburg won the Girls U17 competition, and Juan-Corné Brand took the trophy in the U17 Boys section.  Congratulations to these young CJS players!
