2026 NJSA Closed Ranking Tournament

77 CJS players took to the courts at PCC, PHSOB and Harlequins Squash Club to compete in the NJSA Closed Ranking Tournaments from 30 January to 1 February 2026. It was a busy and exciting few days of squash, with players testing themselves in tough matches and gaining valuable court time against strong opposition.

This tournament was also a significant milestone for junior squash in South Africa, as many players competed for the first time under Squash SA’s updated age groups — now U19, U17, U15, U13, and U11. These changes align local competition with international age groups, giving players clearer pathways as they progress through the junior ranks.

For many athletes, this meant stepping into a new age group, facing different opponents, and adjusting to new challenges. That alone takes courage — and we want to recognise the effort every player put in, regardless of results.

At CJS, we believe that every match is an opportunity to learn and grow. Wins build confidence, losses teach resilience, and every game adds experience that players carry forward into the next tournament. We are proud of each player who entered, competed, and gave their best on court this weekend.
