CJS Players Make Their Mark at the 2025 Interprovincial Tournaments!
What an unforgettable week it’s been for our Centurion Junior Squash (CJS) players! From Polokwane to Stellenbosch, our juniors proudly represented the Northerns Junior Squash Association (NJSA) at the 2025 Interprovincial Tournaments (IPTs), held from 28 June to 2 July across South Africa.
Whether they were chasing their first IPT experience or gunning for gold, our players gave it their all — showing heart, hustle, and incredible team spirit.
To every manager, coach, parent, and supporter — thank you for the countless hours, the encouragement, and the love you poured into this week. Whether you were booking travel, packing meals, sending voice notes from the sidelines, or calming nerves between matches — your support means the world.
And to our players: you made us proud. Your passion, team spirit, and sportsmanship turned this tournament into a celebration of everything we believe in at CJS. 💚
Here’s how the week unfolded across the age groups:
🌿 U19 – Ups and downs in Stellenbosch (Western Cape)
It was a challenging week for the U19s. Our No.1 player, Judah Phillips, sadly fell ill during the tournament, making things tough for the Boys team. But the U19 Girls stepped up big time, playing like champions and bringing home:
🥈 SILVER for the U19A Girls
Sometimes it’s the challenges that bring out the best in us — and our U19 teams showed resilience and heart to the very end.
❄️ U16 – Cold conditions, hot results in Bloemfontein!
Despite chilly weather in the Free State, the CJS and NJSA teams brought the heat:
🥇 GOLD for U16 A Boys
🥇 GOLD for U16 B Boys
🥇 GOLD for U16 A Girls (A full CJS lineup!)
An all-around powerhouse performance in Bloem!
🎯 U14 – Grit and glory in Johannesburg (Gauteng)
The competition was fierce at Western Rackets, but both NJSA A teams held their own and walked away proud:
🥉 BRONZE for the U14A Boys
🥉 BRONZE for the U14A Girls
Tough matches, brilliant rallies, and serious determination on display.
🌊 U13 – Total domination in KwaZulu-Natal!
Our CJS stars were absolutely on fire in Botha’s Hill:
🥇 GOLD for the U13 A Boys (all CJS players!)
🥇 GOLD for the U13 A Girls (all CJS players!)
🥇 GOLD for the U13 B Boys
Three golds and a clean sweep — what a statement!
🔥 U11 – Our young stars lit up Polokwane (Limpopo)
The U11 tournament is all about learning, playing, and making memories — and our players did exactly that. Several NJSA Boys U11 teams (made up entirely of CJS players!) went unbeaten, and our girls showed grit and growth throughout the festival.
While no medals are awarded at the U11 level (since it’s a development-focused festival), the experience was pure gold — a powerful start to their squash journeys and a week they’ll never forget. 💚💪
