Midstream College’ Girls Teams win the Top Schools Regional Tournament

Midstream Girls Secure Spot in Top Schools Finals – Again!

The Girls A Team from Midstream College has done it again! They’ve secured their place in the Top Schools Tournament Finals after a solid win at the Northern Gauteng Regional Tournament this past weekend.

The tournament, which took place from Friday, 23 May to Saturday, 24 May 2025, brought together the best squash schools in Northern Gauteng — all competing for a chance to earn their place at the prestigious Top Schools Finals in Pietermaritzburg this coming August.

In the Girls division, Midstream College took top honours for the third year in a row — an impressive achievement and a testament to their consistency and hard work. The girls will be heading to Pietermaritzburg to compete against the top provincial teams from across the country.

Final Girls Results:

  • 🥇 1st – Midstream College
  • 🥈 2nd – St Mary’s DSG
  • 🥉 3rd – Hoërskool Zwartkop
  • 🎖 4th – Hoërskool Menlopark

In the Boys division, it was a hard-fought competition. Despite strong performances from Hoërskool Zwartkop, Midstream College, and Pretoria Boys High, it was Die Hoërskool Menlopark who came out on top, securing the win and a spot in the finals.

Final Boys Results:

  • 🥇 1st – Die Hoërskool Menlopark
  • 🥈 2nd – Midstream College
  • 🥉 3rd – Pretoria Boys High School
  • 🎖 4th – Hoërskool Zwartkop
